I may have made a grievous mistake in that I ordered the subscription directly from Boom/Archaia, and I have yet to even see issue one! Gonna have to contact them...

And issue #2 showed up yesterday! Without issue one (have to write the company). Well, I'll admit to being sort of disappointed in the artist that they wound up going with (much preferred the Corey Godbey painting-style that looked so much like the original). But kudos for taking random characters out of a 'cast' of probably hundreds and making stories for them, like the little goblin who took care of _both_ Jareth and Toby (!) and the guard just outside the gate in the movie as a younger more active goblin. Although it is strange, like Henson Co doesn't really care who considers what canon anymore, since it's totally incompatible with the manga - any of it. They sort of pulled a 'Roommates/Girls Next Door' extreme plotline split! Curious where this is going; they'd better not kill him off, though, in lieu of the sequel which may or may not be getting worked on as we speak. And the 'eyebrows'? Nice try... XD

And got issue #1 yesterday (not the subscription cover, but oh well - I'm just glad it showed up; they probably ran out). Almost happy I read #2 before #1 - what a cliffhanger! Aw, Jareth tells us all a bedtime story (and I love 'I'm sorry to interrupt your majestic monologuing, but I thought there might be a sing-along' XD ) Does make me think of the fan joke in the Girls Next Door series about him acting like he was raised by polar bears - this is even worse!

And #3 yesterday! (I keep saying that *facepalm*) It feels sort of timely for personal reasons...

XD I must admit, I do wish the artist could have made Jareth a bit more Bowie like.
