So, apart from Labyrinth, what other Bowie movies do you like? I love Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence, so sad at the end though Poor Jack. I also quite like The Linguini Incident, despite the dodgy script!! David is a hottie in that one!! ;D Helen

Finding him in other movies is quite hard! I havent seen any other then Labyrinth, but he did came a lovely cameo in David Lynch's...Fire, Walk With Me. It was brief, but OH so worth it!

The only other one I've seen is The Prestige, which was really interesting. I also the Spongebob episode her guest-starred on.
I'll have to look up the Linguini Incident on youtube sometime; thanks for mentioning that, Bezzo. I also want to see Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence.

I really like Arthur and the Invisibles. I was hoping the emperor had a bigger role, but it was still a really cute show.

Hey, you know that they are doing a sequel to Arthur and the Invisibles, right? I'm not sure if Bowie has confirmed on returning, but we should definitely keep our eyes open!

Yeah, I heard about that but I just checked on IMDB and Maltazard is now being played by Lou Reed. That sucks Helen

Ouch I wonder why Bowie wouldn't return for a sequel to Arthur? The first one didn't have enough of Maltazard, and the sequel is titled his revenge- so I'm sure there will be a lot more of him. I'm obviously not a fan of anything Lou reed has done since I have never heard of him. Kind of disappointing, but I will want to see it anyway.

1976 The Man Who Fell to Earth - Thomas Jerome Newton Ah yes. Who could POSSIBLY forget this once they had seen it (for more than one reason alone)?! The original novel by Walter Tevis, of course (as usual) is far better than the film. I would hope for the sake of all who had loved this one that an adaptation of the film in book form had NOT followed. This would only serve to destroy an incredible piece of Science Fiction. ***MAJOR SPOILER ALERT***> > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >In the novel, it is made quite clear that Thomas Jerome Newton did NOT kill the owner of the pawn shop in order to obtain the rings we had seen him handling at his campsite (which goes on into further detail).
However, in the film ... we are lead to assume (and wrongfully so) that this is precisely what he did. In fact, IIRC - (I read this *before* I had seen the film - which was quite some time back, but long after the film had been released) NOBODY dies in the book - nor does poor Thomas have one seriously messed up, alcoholic, twisted kinky lover. Again, IIRC - he didn't even have a lover on Earth - only the wife and children on his dying home planet of Anthea.
And for once ... Wikipedia gives a *very* accurate account of the novel: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Man_Who_Fell_to_Earth_(novel)For anyone who loves Science Fiction and is interested in an extremely good read - I highly recommend picking up this one!

That movie just makes no sense whatsoever!! It just jumps all over the place without any real plot! I think Nicolas Roeg was just trying to be too arty farty with it. Helen

He was good in The Prestige. I saw The Hunger and it was way too creepy. He has a really quick cameo in Yellowbeard (look for him!)
