Ok guys, this may get all the fans either a little upset or excited about this...but here it goes:
I happen to be a musical trader of sorts and it just so happens that I was posting in another forum and talking about this one when an old friend of mine messaged me.
She happens to be someone who works in musicals (an example of one she's been in would be with the foreign musical "Tanz der Vampire") and she has told me that there are RUMORS going around the musical forums on a possible Labyrinth musical.
Now, I don't know about you guys, but I think that this would be a great thing! Having a Labyrinth musical would mean probably NEW songs as well as new music to listen to!
Ok, so we may not have the original cast in it...but hey, I think I would be very interested in listening to any guy who THINKS they can match Bowie or Jareth for that matter. ^_^

I think it'd be an interesting idea, although it'd be an even better idea if David were to write the music for it Helen

Or Trevor Jones since he helped create the music for the movie with Bowie. He also did the Dark Crystal's soundtrack.

Ok, so I've set a goal in my mind. If the rumor is not true...than I am going to make it true!
Now, don't hold me to this...but I'm currently in college for an English degree. I'm working on scholarships to go to another college for Graduate school and try to get a Masters in playwright.
I'm trying to talk to Chris Lie (one of the creators of Return to Labyrinth manga) about the idea.
I'll keep you guys posted if anything happens!

I'd love to see one, if only to see how they'd handle the scenery. I can imagine when Sarah first enters the labyrinth, you do the ol' trick of having a painted scroll thing that gets cranked from off-stage. You could even add some jokes as she's running in place, like "There was a hole HERE, moron!" LOL.

Lol. That is an idea.
Speaking of which:
What would you guys want to see with a musical?
Would you want new songs with some old songs or old songs with some new songs?
If there were a few "added" scenes, what scenes would you guys want to see? (Example: What happens to Ludo while Sarah is with the Fierys?)
Let me know some of your ideas! The more I have to work with, the better it can be for us Labyrinth fans!

I think it would be interesting to see a musical of Labyrinth. If they can do the sequels as manga, than why not have a musical? I'd probably still love the movie best, but would be interested in seeing the musical.
I think all the original songs should stay but add a few new ones. Sarah would have to sing a song or two.

Maybe turn her speech into a song?

Maybe turn her speech into a song? That's one idea. I'm trying to work on it now to where the speech could be in a similar rhythm as "Underground." Especially where Jareth goes: "No one can blame you... For walking away." Something along those lines.

I'd like to see Hoggle sing a sad song in the Junkyard called, "What have I done?"

I would see a Labyrinth musical ONLY if Bowie was in it.
