I was able to get it yesterday!
SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, from a Labyrinth fan standpoint, I want to say that I was a bit disappointed with the ending to this. I really expected a lot of things to happen, and I think that there were too much on the plate to just end it like it did.
And as a J/S fan, I kept expecting...waiting....hoping to see Jareth and Sarah kiss but was HORRIBLY upset when they did not.
HOWEVER, I did like the speeches that Sarah and Toby made in the finale. I especially like it when Toby is telling Sarah that she doesn't need Jareth and she remarks, "I do need him!" Jareth turns and goes..."Y-You do?" That was really well done as Sarah continues on about how its important to remember them.
I also enjoyed another scene following that....as small of a scene that it is...where Jareth is being thrown by the Goblins (because they are so happy he is back).
END OF SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All in all, I'm going to rate this between 5 and 7 out of 10. I believe that Chris Lie and Jake Forbes did their best to stick as close to the original as they could without taking the plot-line to levels that fanfiction writers dream of!
For those of you who are Jareth/Sarah fans, I'm going to say that there are scenes in there you are going to love...but you will be disappointed with the ending. (Sorry, but it's true.) This doesn't mean that it isn't worth reading, because I'm so happy that I read it.
And for those of you who have not been able to get the manga yet, there is a special note at the end of the book stating that BRIAN FROUD is going to be producing Labyrinth comic books. It will include covers, art direction and story concepts. It's also going to include tales of the goblins and of the Goblin King in it so lets keep our eyes open for that!

They look like it's going to be on the forehead in the shot just before the teleportation. However, their lips are definitely locked during the teleportation.

As an ENORMOUS Jareth/Sarah fan, I am extreeeemely disappointed. All that build up (the “what good is a kingdom to a king without a queen to share it with” was particularly nice) and THAT’S what it leads up to? Come on…. >.< I definitely think they should have done a little more for us considering there’s so many J/S fans out there and we’re the ones buying these things. But yes, the “I do need you” made me squee ^__^

GAAH. I'm tempted to ask for these for Christmas. And yes, I read the spoilers because I'm more interested in the Jareth/Sarah aspect more than anything else. -hangs head-
And ooh. Comics? that could prove promising!

Hi, feareloveme! I loved RTL vol 4, though my dog ate it. Now I have to buy another one, but I will. Even though I can take J/S'ing or leave it, the ending does feel a bit stilted. It's perfectly in tune with the movie, and a lot of the griping you'd see over on Jake's website seem a little harsh and unreasonable (particularly those who gripe about things that are countered by the images themselves), but I can't help feeling Toby was more into this than Sarah was. For those who like Sarah better, well, I don't blame you for that, but I've just never been satisfied with her plot. When Toby stops being selfish and learns to value friendship, his friends are actually part of the finale. When Sarah learns those lessons (a bit half-heartedly relatively, as she never once, unlike Toby, seeks to learn about her "friends"), she faces Jareth alone. I get the ending is about her sense of empowerment, but if you're going to stress how she needs to get over herself and think of others, well, include those others in the ending.
