Hard to believe, but it has now been 30 years since Labyrinth's first release! What fantastic memories and fun it has given us all. Do you remember the first time that you saw it? Let's all share our memories to celebrate.

I certainly cannot remember the first time I saw it. I was wee! But I know I must have watched it over 100 times in my life, easily. I do remember seeing it recently on the big screen for the first time since I was a child, and being astonished, all over again.
This time, I was an adult, and an artist in my own right: a seamstress and prop maker. I spent the entire time drooling over little details I couldn't see on my screen at home, like the texture of those (infamous) tights, or the details in Sarah's dress.
I've pre-ordered the bluray box set. I can't wait to be able to pause, zoom in, and really get to know this movie all over again.

I was too young to see it at the cinema so I first saw Labyrinth when it was shown on TV a couple of years later. Loved it so much that my parents recorded it on video the very next time that it was shown. That VHS managed to survive years of multiple viewings!! lol

It had to have been very late 2002/early 2003, with my then-current boyfriend at my house. Had no idea what I was in for, save that it had been recommended by friends for the last couple of years. To be honest, I thought it was going to be scary (don't like scary movies usually) so I'd been putting it off. I remember John totally making fun of the whole darn thing, but there was just something about it... I must have watched the tape three more times by myself before it went back to the library! I was hooked.
