Hello! Welcome to the site! Please feel free to share a little more about yourself if you like. How long have you enjoyed Labyrinth, who are your favorite characters?

Favorite character (well, besides Jareth : probably Sir Didymus I got into this about six years ago (wow, it's actually been that long?!) The stars just sort of aligned and I fell into this fandom. It initially helped me deal with a private issue and it was an escape while my mom had her chemo for breast cancer - I just couldn't face the trauma head-on and needed a place to hide; it didn't have to be perfect, just somewhere. What better place than a labyrinth? "Found a place to stay where nothing ever hurts again..." And then I just stuck around. I've read more fanfics than I even care to think about (I have to confess I tend to like the extended universe better than the original) and gotten to meet some neat people. I've written a couple of my own under Shadowlurker13 on Fanfiction.net if you can stand the format (they were meant to be read double-spaced) and I'm working on this behemoth of a story that I started summer of 2007 as a stress hobby but I don't want to release it until it's finished because it's been worked on out of order - approx. 4-5 chapters to go! I've been to the Labyrinth of Jareth Masquerade ball a couple times (years X and XIII) and I'm sorry to say we seem to be a dying breed; it's less and less Labyrinthy every year. I'm not as involved as I used to be, partly because the board I used to be a part of has nominally died and partly due to flirting with my saturation limit of this stuff and not wanting to reach it (that actually happened with A Midsummer Night's Dream. I can't stand to watch any format of it now, not even the ballet) That's about it. It looks like things are pretty quiet over here, too - how are you all doing?

I don't suppose you were one of the regulars on Marysia's board by any chance? and then later the Lab Lounge? Helen

Wow o.o That's an interesting story! Though I'm sorry to hear about your mom.
Yes, things have been quiet here. I'm assuming mostly school or just daily life related things have gotten in the way. I'm sure things will pick up again soon.
And the ball is less Labyrinth every year? Bugger. Here I was hoping to go some day, though I kinda doubt it now lol.

Those names ring bells but I was on The Oubliette, sort of the lifeboat from the Lab Lounge and a couple others. It's still there but there's been barely any activity in three years. Yeah, the ball is turning into the Strider show but it's still fun. I think it would be cool to get a group together to go!

What say we shoot for year fifteen and see how many listians/Labyrinthians we can round up by then? (darnit I miss the little smiley with the raising eyebrows! Different board ;p) In the words of a friend back-in-the-day when the olde Froudian board was discussing the possibility (or rather lack thereof) of a meetup, he said that a few people would kill each other right away and then everything would be just fine XD probably not that bad here but just a thought that's crossed my mind (there was religious feuding over there that had to be hosed down). The Realm Strikes Back, heheheh, the real cherry would be to have a J/S couple with us (there was a Jareth and a Sarah last year but not together. The girl was gorgeous, though, and looked about the right age - someone I took to be a female relative was chaperoning. Jareth was a woman; the costumes were phenominal, but....call me a purist but it's just not the same. ) If you haven't, look for the acts on youtube, they have quite a number of them from previous years. Here's hopin'! ;D

It would be quite a bit of planning ahead for sure, but tempting!

Wow, haven't really done this in about three years. Hello out there! Ditto on that. I voluntarily left a forum about three years ago (not Labyrinth related) due to a large number of rude people there.
I remained on that particular forum for about five years (and I did make quite a few lifelong friends there). Sadly, that forum turned into a snobby, elitist *snuggle*up*to*the*mods* place SO - I saw no reason to waste my time there.
Thankfully, that doesn't appear to be the case here.
